Do I really own the land?

Yes, but only if you are a member and as a condition of the Landicity Steward Membership once our Charter Member offering period is complete. After we obtain title per our option purchase and sale agreement, members as an association, will own undivided unique benefits and member interest in the large parcel of land.. Please refer to our Charter Membership documents. Individuals own unique rights to their Home Squard; though legally this is not an individual fee simple real estate ownership.

When you purchase a Landicity Steward Membership, one of the many benefits you receive is a non-recordable Landicity Stewardship Deed. It describes your unique membership interests and rights to the land and your individual home squard. Calculated on a per Squard basis, one acre equals 14,520 Squards. We keep all ownership records in our Landicity Steward Membership and Landicity Stewardship Deed Registrar.

There are certain terms and conditions to your ownership as detailed in other documents such as Bill of Rights, and Terms and Conditions of Use including stewardship governance, in-person overnight visits and simply enjoying your piece of the planet in its natural state.
